I have been worldbuilding and wordsmithing for nearly 30 years.
Writing has been a hobby for most of my life, and I have a number of works-in-progress that I hope to publish in the near future. My works range from fantasy to sci-fi, mystery to horror—the largest and most refined of which is a series of high fantasy novels titled The Dark Hand Saga. The first book will be published in four volumes, telling the story of the Dark Hand Covenant and the emergence of hostile forces in the Kingdom of Murdanor, and the heroes that rise to oppose them.
The Space Between The Stars
A serial web novel set in a distant region of space, where a human-like species of space travellers must flee their homeworld in the wake of a cataclysmic apocalypse and travel the vaccuum of space in search of a new world to call home. Over the span of the 30 chapter arc, we meet a number of refugees from all walks of life on their old world, thrust into their new roles as explorers, navigating the dangers of deep space and the subversive threat of traitors hidden amongst them. They must race to find their sanctuary before they are overcome by paranoia, sabotage, and destruction in a genre-blending of sci-fi, space opera, cyberpunk, and fantasy. Published to a closed community, but being revised for wider release.
The Doctors Call
Taking place in the same expansive universe as The Space Between The Stars, The Doctors Call is a serial webcomic that follows a cadre of genetically enhanced, hyper-intelligent, space-faring primates known as The Doctors—or Dr. Apes—as they return to a future Earth to make contact with the last remnants of humankind, the devolved and dim-witted Homo Insipiens.

In a more concerted effort to revamp my long-dormant web presence, I started up a Substack publication to chronicle my thoughts, life events, and on-going writing projects in a publicly digestible and easily discoverable format. I haven't been as active on the internet in the past decade but am ready to start marketing myself and my writing, and I felt that Substack was the best platform to accomplish that.
I've been writing ever since I could hold a pencil. From second grade poems to college term papers, I've had no shortage of prose to produce.
My love of storytelling began in the 90's with an interest in comic books, superhero cartoons, and fantasy novels. I grew up on characters like He-Man and the Ninja Turtles, Spawn and the X-Men; played games like Sonic, Super Mario, Final Fantasy, and Zelda, and read my share of Cracked Magazine and Choose Your Own Adventure books. As an adolescent I discovered the works of Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis, unlocking a passion for fantasy. My interests spanned a myriad of different media, all telling stories through narrative and art... and all planting seeds for my love of writing. In my youth I made crappy little comics on scratch paper, and over the years the characters and story arcs I developed eventually grew into an entire universe, ranging in genres from superhero action-fare to science fiction and fantasy, from detective noir and space opera to alternate history and steampunk. In college, I took a series of screenwriting and filmmaking classes that taught me a lot about dialogue and story structure, which inspired me to update those crappy little comics into a more refined form of narrative with a stronger focus on story, something that I can share with the world. As I conceived my stories and began to develop worlds, an idea for a fantasy novel began to take shape, and over the years, it slowly came to fruition. The characters emerged and the plot points manifested, and now here I am with a series in the works.
